The Olympic Ring is the monumental complex that includes the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, Palau Sant Jordi, Sant Jordi Club, and the Olympic Ring Esplanade. It is the legacy of the 1992 Olympic Games, when Barcelona became the world capital of sports.
Since then, these venues have hosted a wide variety of musical, sports, business, and institutional events, creating the need for capacity and access control to ensure security and enhance the attendee experience.
In 2015, B:SM launched a tender to meet its requirements, and BinaryIS won the contract to provide service and support for the access control and capacity management system at Palau Sant Jordi and Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.
This is not the first time the company has provided its services to B:SM, having already implemented its bAccess access and capacity control system in these venues 2 years ago and provided services and support to the operation for the last 6 months.
Following this agreement, BinaryIS is responsible for maintaining the Access Control system, regularly overseeing capacity and access for all events at Palau Sant Jordi, Sant Jordi Club, and Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.
In the two years since the implementation of bAccess, more than 2 million tickets have been validated at over 120 events without any operational issues. These events include concerts, sporting events, trade fairs, and corporate gatherings.
